2mee has secured £500,000 in a recent funding round, detailing an ambition to drive “scale at pace” across several commercial areas.
In particular, the company intends to boost its sales and marketing activity, further grow its commercial team and partner with more sports betting and casino brands.
The firm aims to specifically target brands that seek to connect with their customers “on a deeper, more personal level” via its Direct Human Messaging communication and engagement services.
James Riley, CEO of 2mee, said: “We are thrilled to have closed our latest funding round led by experienced tech investors. This will allow us to deploy our ambitious expansion plans and help more sportsbook and casino operators harness the power of face-to-face communication.
“2mee provides unrivalled engagement and CTR rates, allowing operators to take player acquisition and retention to the next level in what has become a fiercely competitive, and expensive, market.”
York-based 2mee’s technology is patented in Europe, China, Hong Kong and the US, and allows for the sending of messages across operator’s channels including the the web via push and pull messaging and native mobile apps.
By using the solution, betting firms can contact their customers using Human Hologram Messaging – notable companies to have partnered with 2mee include Betfred, and most recently Sportsbet.io.
The firm maintains that its platform can be utilised to boost customer acquisition and retention, whilst also enabling better KYC and compliance messaging.
Riley continued: “We have made great early progress but the additional capital we have brought into the business via this funding round will allow us to drive greater awareness of the 2mee product and to work with more operators and brands than ever before.”
