BETBY continues to see a lot of value in chess, bringing together three of the biggest names in the game for a promotional event next month.
The sportsbook solutions platform already has a long-running partnership with Magnus Carlsen, a Grand Master, five time World Chess Champion and widely regarded as the greatest of all time.
It is now organising an event bringing together Carlsen, five-time US Chess Champion, Grand Master and global No.2 ranked player Hikaru Nakamura, and Levy Rozman, International Master and the world’s most followed chess streamer.
The activation will take place at the ICE industry trade show taking place in Barcelona next month, from 19-21 January 2026. The trio will hold a live press conference, commencing at 12pm on the second day of the event.
BETBY has stressed that chess remains a core focus for its business. In a statement, the firm asserted that it has a ‘shared vision’ with the global chess community, seeing joint synergies like innovation, strategic excellence, and pursuing new ideas in digital entertainment.

The event was exclusively revealed by BETBY to SBC News, and has now been confirmed by the Malta-headquartered firm. The company is closing up an active year, having late last week how significant its trading volume has been.
As it prepares to replicate the successes of this year in the next, BETBY continues to see its relationship with chess as a key asset, citing the game’s recent inclusion in the Esports World Cup as a key example.
