BresBet has announced the launch of its new app, marking the sports betting operator’s debut in the mobile gaming space, having so far offered online, retail, telephone based services.
Detailing the move as the next stage in its expansion strategy, the Sheffield-based firm – established last year – has made the app available to iOS users, whilst it is currently awaiting approval from Google in order to launch the app on Android.
The app features live odds for sports fixtures and horse and greyhound racing, including daily specialis, as well as a live casino and slot offering. The company has outlined a goal to ‘reinforce’ what it considers ‘the best customer and punter friendly service out there’ with its new mobile offering.
David Perry, BresBet Managing Director, said: “We know there are players who bet via mobile devices only, so would like to invite them to enjoy the BresBet way and help improve their overall betting experience with thousands of live markets, daily specials, slots and live casino in a one-stop shop which is the BresBet app.
“We are a new UK bookmaker and, in a very competitive market, are proud of how the business has progressed and how quickly it has expanded.”
Founded by Chairman Nic Brereton, BresBet entered the UK betting market in September of last year, with a core focus on horse and greyhound racing, initially launching a website and establishing a telephone betting service.
The first stage in the firm’s expansion focused around the opening of retail high street sector BresBet Sporting Lounges’, with the launch of its new mobile offering billed as its next major commercial move.
In a bid to strengthen its position and engage with audiences in the horse racing space, BresBet has sponsored Uttoxeter racecourse, enlisting 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Paddy Brennan as the first of its ‘BresBet Legends’ brand ambassadors and sponsoring trainers Fergal O’Brien and Milton Harris.
Perry continued: “Horse racing is our core business, but the company has strong links to greyhound racing and our continuing support and sponsorship of some of the major Category One greyhound competitions is also important to us.
“We will ensure that BresBet will feature prominently across both sports. Our aim remains to make BresBet a force in a competitive market – online and on-course.
“We look forward to announcing further partnerships and sponsorships across a number of sports, but, as we begin 2022, rolling out the BresBet app to our customers is a great way to start the year for this new business – something of a milestone, too.”
