EveryMatrix has moved to strengthen its OddsMatrix business by acquiring specialist sports betting developer Leapbit in a move that will bolster the unit’s omni-channel capabilities.
Updating stakeholders, the firm disclosed that the acquisition of Leapbit will transform “OddsMatrix platform to a true omnichannel solution” securing new tech provisions to offer a “comprehensive retail-focused software solution, including virtual sports and lottery games”.
Operating since 2018, Zagreb-based Leapbit has developed customised multi-channel sportsbook solutions for Tier 1 bookmakers operating in Central and Eastern Europe.
The company was co-founded by former Superbet executives Božo Kekez (CEO) and Mladen Andrašec (COO) leading its highly-skilled technical team on bespoke projects for sportsbook partners.
Ebbe Groes, Group CEO of EveryMatrix, described the deal as being essential to expand ‘OddsMatrix’s ecosystem’ that aims to serve all levels of sportsbook clients, matching their individual needs and scale demands.
“OddsMatrix is one of the company’s three pillars and is growing at a tremendous rate already,” said Groes. “Retail is a big component of any comprehensive sports betting suite, and by integrating Leapbit’s technology, we can take OddsMatrix to new levels of complexity.
“We’ve been impressed by Leapbit’s technology and expert team, and we’re looking forward to growing OddsMatrix together by greatly expanding our addressable market.”
Of significance, OddsMatrix’s tech management and product development resources will be amplified via consolidation of Leapbit’s existing Zagreb engineering hub into its existing operations.
The enlargement of OddsMatrix solutions and services will be overseen by Leapbit’s current leadership team.
Said Kekez: “We’re delighted to be signing with EveryMatrix. The past four years with Leapbit have been more fruitful than expected; we’ve done a lot of work in a short time frame and couldn’t be prouder of this outcome.”
