FDJ to execute Parions Sport migration to Unibet.fr in March

By | February 17, 2026

Under a statement titled One for Our Players”, Parions Sport, the heritage sportsbook brand of FDJ United, has confirmed that it will migrate its ’ ‘full online gaming experience’ in March 2026.

Parions Sport customers were informed: “By bringing together Parions Sport en Ligne and Unibet, your online gaming experience is evolving: a leading platform offering the very best in sports betting and online poker, along with a comprehensive horse racing offer through ZEturf.”

The platform upgrade will see FDJ United complete a key integration directive following its €2.5bn acquisition of Kindred Group, which was finalised in October 2024. The deal saw it acquire Kindred’s Unibet sportsbook and 32red casino brands.

FDJ reassured its customers that the migration will be “seamless and immediate”, noting that no additional administrative steps will be required, with verified player documentation,  including identity and banking details, being  “automatically transferred to the new platform.”

The update confirms that FDJ will consolidate Parions Sport’s online sportsbook under the new profile of Unibet.fr, as Parions Sport will retain its brand and retail betting network unchanged.

Customers will retain their existing login credentials, balances, open bets and responsible gaming limits without interruption.

For players who already hold accounts with both Parions Sport en Ligne and Unibet, FDJ will offer the option to merge the two accounts upon first login following the completion of the migration. The objective is to consolidate account history and balances into a single digital wallet, with no loss of funds or data.

Founded in 1985, Parions Sport retains exclusive rights to French retail (point-of-sale) betting. FDJ has expanded its nationwide retail network to more than 29,000 outlets, operating across kiosks, cafés, bars and tobacconists throughout France’s provinces and municipalities.

Forward ambitions

Leadership has maintained its Play It Forward 2028” strategy and targets, under which synergies between Parions Sport, Unibet and ZEturf are expected to generate in excess of 30% of total group income contribution.

The target forms part of FDJ United’s effort to rebalance its commercial profile. Prior to the Kindred acquisition, the group remained heavily weighted towards French lottery and instant games, which accounted for approximately 70% of GGR in FY2024. Lottery alone generated  €2.1bn GRR of a total group income of €3.1bn.

However, the ambitions of an enlarged FDJ United have been tested by significant regulatory adjustments across its core markets of France, the Netherlands and the UK.

On 1 July 2025, France increased taxes on sports betting in a bid to  support its social security budget, with online sports betting now taxed at 59.3% of GGR.

In the Netherlands, gambling tax rose to 34.2% of GGR from 1 January 2025, up from 30%), with a further increase to 37.8% enforced from 1 January 2026.

Meanwhile in the UK, Kindred brands – including Unibet and 32Red – have faced additional compliance and onboarding costs linked to the ongoing Gambling Act review reforms.

Tough 2025 adjustments

Headwinds were reflected in the FDJ’s H1 2025 interim accounts.  The Paris EuroNext firm reported revenue of €1.87bn, down 1.7% on a ‘reset basis’, a 9.5% decline in recurring EBITDA which totalled €441m, and net income of €136m, reflecting a decrease of 36.2%. (-36.2%).

Adjusted net income declined by 5.4% to €222m, as operating profit stood at €265m. Group CEO Stéphane Pallez described H1 trading as a transitional period for FDJ.  Group strategy is now prioritising the completion of the  integration of Kindred assets amid regulatory adjustments across its core markets.

Leadership maintains that once key projects are complete, investors will see that an enlarged FDJ has the scale and profile to compete and be earnings effective across all core markets regardless of any increased tax burdens.

FDJ United is scheduled to publish its FY2025 results on Thursday 19 February.
