Penetration into new regulated markets has enabled Altenar to expand its commercial client base by 270% in 2021, as revealed in the company’s full-year financial results published today.
The sportsbook software provider has hit several milestones in its international expansion strategy in 2021, with “notable success” in Colombia, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
It added that during the last 12 months its sportsbook achieved “record-breaking growth” with a 150% increase in total bets and player count.
Altenar highlighted a number of key areas for growth, including esports, data and virtuals which have proved to be a major engagement and acquisition tool for operator partners.
Domenico Mazzola, Altenar’s Commercial Director, said: “It’s been an outstanding 12 months for all of us at Altenar and we’re very proud of our excellent numbers, with yet another year of record-breaking success. The team has worked extremely hard while all focusing on the same goal which is fantastic to see.
“The 2021 financial year has seen us greatly expand our products and services, as well as our global offices, with a 36% increase in headcount.
“It’s brilliant to have so many new specialists aboard and I have no doubt we will continue to grow and develop throughout 2022 as the team looks to keep this momentum going.”
Altenar is currently active in 13 major global markets, and believes that the successes of 2021 will help the firm to establish itself as the “sportsbook provider of choice for multiple leading operators”.
