Global Gaming Women (GGW) has confirmed the appointment of Cassie Stratford as new president of its non-profit organisation supporting the development of women across all disciplines of the global gambling sector.
Stratford currently serves as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Assistant General Counsel for Boyd Gaming and began her new role as President of GGW in July 2021.
Taking leadership of GGW, Stratford will be supported by a new board of executives formed by – Dorothy Costa, senior vice president of people and transformation at IGT; Jacqueline Grace, senior vice president and general manager at Caesars Entertainment; Grainne Hurst, director corporate affairs at Entain Group; Siobhan Lane, chief commercial officer at Scientific Games; and Kate White, vice president of business intelligence and IT program management at Penn National Gaming.
Upon her appointment, Stratford said: “GGW has become what it is today because of the dedication of its founding board members and sponsors in supporting and encouraging the professional advancement of women in gaming.
“It is such an exciting time for our industry, and I am honored to have the opportunity to work with this impressive group of leaders to continue to advance GGW’s important mission.”
Stratford replaces Christie Eickleman, Vice President of Global Marketing for Gaming Laboratories International, as President of GGW after working in the gaming industry for 29 years.
Eickleman added: “Thank you to the dedication of our Board members and the generosity of our sponsors, GGW is stronger than ever.
“Women around the world have benefitted from Global Gaming Women, and we still have work to do. I am thrilled for Cassie to assume the mantle of leadership, to build on our achievements, and to take women in gaming to new heights.”
