Italy-facing betting operator GoldBet has moved to expand its payment capabilities in pursuit of further revenue growth, extending its contract with Nuvei.
The renewed contract with the payment solutions provider will see GoldBet implement new transaction methods into its cashier – such as Apple Pay – as a new withdrawal and deposit option, making it one of the first Italian betting firms to do so.
First partnering with Nuvei in 2020, Gamenet Group SPA-owned GoldBet has so far been utilising the company’s fully localised cashier and alternative payment methods to drive player acquisition and revenue growth, as well as solutions to enhance acceptance rates.
“We are thrilled to announce that we are extending our partnership with Nuvei to add more alternative payment methods into our online cashier,” said Alessandro Fiumara, GoldBet Managing Director Betting and Digital Italy.
“Being able to offer our players seamless deposits and withdrawals has been a critical factor in achieving our goal of having the best player experience in Italy. Since partnering with Nuvei, our revenues have grown significantly and we’re excited to continue this journey together.”
Nuvei has cultivated an active presence in betting over the years, particularly in North America where its solutions have been leveraged by the likes of EveryMatrix and Fifth Third Bank, National Association, pairing with the latter to enhance US igaming real-time deposits.
Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Nuvei’s US focus has also included a listing on the Global Nasdaq Exchange under the ticker NVEI, having previously been listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSK).
Philip Fayer, Nuvei Chair and CEO, commented: “GoldBet is one of the leading gaming platforms in Italy because of its commitment to player experience. Frictionless deposits and withdrawals, superior card acceptance rates, and a wide choice of preferred payment methods are all key. That’s what Nuvei brings to the table for operators.
“We continue to deliver best-in-class payments services to the leading digital businesses across the globe. And we work with these businesses to deliver a customized solution that is specific to their individual needs. This is how payments make the most significant impact on revenues and business growth.”
