Inés Sainz, Mexico’s leading sports television presenter and journalist, has been confirmed as the host of the inaugural SBC Awards Latinoamérica on October 28, 2021.
The Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in the sports betting and gaming industry across Latin America, and the winners of the 22 categories will be announced at a lavish ceremony at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.
The shortlists for the Awards see some of the best-known sportsbook and casino operators in territories such as Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru take on global gaming brands, while suppliers from around the world compete to show they have the best localized products for markets in the region.
One of the biggest names in sports broadcasting in Latin America, Sainz is the ideal choice to host the ceremony as the victors selected by the independent judging panel are revealed.
Sainz, who is best known for her work with TV Azteca, has covered all the world’s biggest sporting occasions, including three Olympic Games, three FIFA World Cups, 15 Super Bowls, and multiple Grand Slam tennis finals, golf Majors, and NBA finals.
She is also a renowned interviewer with a showreel that features superstars such as Pele, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo, Tom Brady, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Neymar, Kobe Bryant, Lorena Ochoa, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Zinedine Zidane.

The Awards coincide with the final evening of SBC Summit Latinoamérica, the leading conference and trade show for the sports betting and igaming industries in Latin America, which takes place at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami on October 27-28, 2021. It features 100 expert speakers sharing insights and ideas about the latest developments in markets in Brazil, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica and Mexico, along with an exhibition with 25 suppliers showcasing their latest innovations.
