Jonas Groes joins brother Ebbe as Co-CEO of EveryMatrix

By | November 18, 2025

EveryMatrix, has initiated a major shakeup of its executive leadership team to continue its status as the iGaming sector fastest-growing technology supplier.

Jonas Groes, the brother of EveryMatrix co-founder and long-term CEO Ebbe Groes, will take on the co-CEO role, joining after a 10 year tenure as a Partner of ‘Big-4’ auditing firm EY and its ‘Nordic Consulting’ practice.

He will take on the joint leadership position in the New Year, as EveryMatrix looks to apply its successful business formula for 2025 to 2026. The company has been conducting business based on a two-pronged approach.

EveryMatrix’s strategy has focused on partnerships with leading tier-one operators to provide incumbents with fully customised turnkey platforms to match their individual, mass-scale demands.

In 2024 and 2025, EveryMatrix secured a series of high-value lottery and state-operator technology contracts. These include delivering full platform services to Szerencsejáték Zrt, Hungary’s state gambling firm, and undertaking a major upgrade of Svenska Spel’s online casino and games platform. In Denmark, Danske Spil has commissioned EveryMatrix to modernise its casino and slots offering, with the new solution scheduled to launch in 2026.

Jonas Groes said: “Stepping into this role at EveryMatrix alongside my brother Ebbe is a dream come true. What he, Stian Hornsletten, and the rest of the team have built is nothing short of phenomenal and I’ve seen close hand just what it takes.

“We work well together and our differences and combined strengths complement one another. I can’t wait to get started.”

2025 – an active year

Founded in London in 2008, EveryMatrix initially focused on sportsbook solutions before expanding into iGaming, affiliation, turkey solutions and player account management (PAM) in the early 2010s.

The past year has seen EveryMatrix take the two pronged approach discussed above to new heights, penning deals with some of the industry’s biggest companies to further build up its partner portfolio.

Notable tier one firms to have partnered with EveryMatrix include bet365, which is using its SlotMatrix casino solutions; FDJ United, which partnered with its PartnerMatrix Intelligence affiliate network; and LeoVegas, which partnered with the OddsMatrix sports betting platform.

The company intends to build on these foundations in 2025, and Group CEO Ebbe Groes seems confident that his brother’s experience and skillset, particularly derived from his time in consultancy, will come in handy as it looks to achieve an ambitious five-year plan.

The sustained commercial success and growth across lottery, sportsbook and casino sectors has fuelled speculation that EveryMatrix will pursue an IPO in the coming years. A move viewed by many analysts as the next platform of expansion for iGaming’s largest independent technology group.

Ebbe Groes remarked: “As the company’s growth continues, tripling our headcount in the last five years, and as we work with more of the largest gaming brands and lotteries, I needed to find someone who knows what it takes to scale a business and reach the ambitious targets we have for the next five years.

“Doing this means I will have more time to work on strategy and execute all the things we want to do to become a global top three tier-one technology provider by 2030.

“To share a CEO position requires complete trust at both personal and professional level. Jonas is the perfect candidate and I know he will go on to do amazing things at EveryMatrix. I’m very excited to soon be sharing the CEO position with him.”
