Kindred Group Plc has launched a global recruitment drive to expand its trading capabilities, as the Stockholm-listed online gambling group prepares to take ‘end-to-end control’ of its sportsbook platform
This February saw Kindred announce its biggest-ever technology directive, choosing to build its own proprietary sportsbook solution in order to reduce its reliance on third-party suppliers.
Marked as a headline objective, Kindred’s in-house tech units will focus on redeveloping the group’s proprietary-built Kindred Racing Platform (KRP) into a complete in-house sportsbook solution.
Undertaking the project, Kindred anticipates doubling its sportsbook headcount, which today stands at 200 employees. Of significance, Kindred’s sportsbook unit will be transformed into a ‘global division’ with dedicated operations spanning all key operating territories – Europe (Malta, London, Sweden and Gibraltar), North America and Australia.
Kindred has disclosed to SBC that it has begun recruiting for the key sportsbook leadership positions of Head of Trading (In-Play). Head of Trading (Pre-match), Trading Operations Team Director and Sportsbook Commercial Relations Team Lead.
”It’s an exciting time for Kindred from a growth and HR perspective,” remarked Antony Moulds, Kindred Group’s Head of Talent Acquisition.
“We have a great foundation from a technical perspective with the award-winning team and product we have built already but in order to continue on our ambitious path we need to add a diverse array of talent across our global teams.”
The project will see Kindred further recruit for new roles across all areas of its business to help its ongoing ‘global sportsbook expansion’, expanding headcount in engineering, product development, operational management and dedicated customer services.
Leading the development of Kindred’s sportsbook project, Marcus Smedman Kindred Chief Technology Officer (CTO) stated: “We operate across the globe and build gambling products like our award-winning racing platform and the recently announced investment in an in-house sportsbook. All this means we continuously need to grow the teams with a wide array of roles and expertise.
“As a team we focus on collaboration and communication, empowerment and clear accountabilities and close collaboration between business owners and tech teams, creating a dynamic atmosphere that engage people.”
