Metric Gaming has moved to strengthen its business development capacity, naming Marc Thomas as new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
A 25-year sports betting and igaming commercial veteran, Thomas joins Metric Gaming’s senior management team from industry consultancy Propus Partners. During his tenure there he provided strategic guidance on the management of the firm’s sports betting global supply chain for operators, suppliers, regulators, rights-holders and start-ups.
Thomas has a deep experience in sports betting, having previously led product development and commercial units for SIS and tier-1 operators 888, Betfair and William Hill.
Welcoming the appointment CEO Keith Hayes said,:“Marc is a strong addition to the leadership team and exactly the sort of person we were hoping to recruit.
“Aside from his pedigree as a bona fide industry expert, Marc is someone you can trust. He’s joining at an exciting time in the company’s evolution and I have no doubt he will play a decisive role in our future success.”
In his remit as CCO, Thomas will be tasked with spearheading the commercial strategy for Metric Gaming’s planned roll-out of new proprietary innovations. These include the new risk management solution developed in partnership with betting experts Star Lizard.
Under development, Metric Gaming aims to launch its platform for the start of the domestic 2022/2023 seasons, plus other sports to follow throughout 2022 and 2023.
Thomas said: “This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Metric and I welcome the opportunity to help grow the business. Metric has a well-earned track record in providing innovative and premium products to Tier 1 operators, and I look forward to the challenge of widening our list of partners.
“Metric will be exhibiting at ICE 2022, and myself and the experienced and knowledgeable team will be on hand to discuss any sports betting requirements you may have. If you’re looking for an upgrade to your current platform, or more details on our innovative and bespoke trading and risk management solutions, feel free to get in touch to book a meeting slot.”
