Parions Sport, the sports betting subsidiary of Francaise des Jeux (FDJ), has signed its biggest sponsorship commitment becoming the official sponsor of Fédération Française de Rugby (FFR).
Signing a three-year deal, Parions Sports will serve as the team sponsor of France’s Men and Women’s XV teams until 2024.
“The ParionsSport online and ParionsSport point of sale brands will appear as Official Partners of the two French XVs, and will support them in particular during their 2022 Six Nations Tournaments” – read a statement by Groupe FDJ.
Of significance, Parions Sport will serve as the FFR’s principal partner in the build up to France hosting the 2023 RFU Rugby World Cup.
“We are particularly happy to establish a partnership with the French Rugby Federation and to make it a long-term one. The ParionsSport brand shares the values of respect and solidarity that the oval game has always conveyed.”
“We are delighted to provide our support to the French rugby teams who will be able to make us vibrate during their next international events. Starting with the men’s XV of France which is carried by a collective in search of a Grand Slam for the Six Nations Tournament.”
Ahead of a critical year for the FFR, Parions Sport will support French rugby by developing exclusive XV online content and supporting France Rugby Union teams through FDJ’s network of 27,000 merchant partners that offer Parions betting services.
Bernard Laporte, President of the FFR, added: “This partnership with Parions Sport is the marker of great ambitions for the next three years. I am very happy to be able to count on the commitment of this historical support of French sport and I know that this new collaboration will be beneficial to French rugby and to our teams in France.”
