SBC Summit Rio: how to build a winning brand in Brazil

By | February 10, 2026

As Brazil enters its second year as a regulated market, gambling operators are shifting focus from player acquisition to building brands that earn long-term public trust.

Reflecting this shift, SBC Summit Rio will feature a series of sessions exploring how businesses can build sustainable and competitive brands through effective leadership, influencer partnerships, and responsible advertising.

Attendees will hear from speakers from both inside and outside the betting industry, including representatives with experience at organisations such as Nike and Meta, alongside representatives from CONAR and Brazil’s fast-growing creator economy.

Chris Kypriotis (Transformation CEO | Former Global VP and CEO of Nike Brazil) will open SBC Summit Rio’s leadership stage on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 (11:00-11:20) with a keynote on how brands build lasting cultural relevance, drawing on his experience leading Nike in Brazil.

During his extended tenure, Nike Brazil surpassed US$1bn in revenue for the first time. He also led Nike Brazil’s strategic planning during landmark global events hosted in the country, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

His keynote, Inside the Culture of High Performance, will offer a strategic framework for moving beyond product-led marketing and towards building brands that connect with Brazilian culture in authentic, lasting ways.

Kypriotis will also lead an exclusive workshop session, Built for Scaling: A Performance Culture Workshop on Wednesday, 4 March (12:00 – 12:40), offering a deeper, hands-on look at how high-performance cultures are built and sustained when speed, scrutiny, and competition collide.

Creator-led engagement will also take centre stage, highlighting how brands can connect with audiences authentically through responsible partnerships with digital creators.

On Wednesday, 4 March (4:40–5:20 PM), the keynote, The Ultimate Collab: Unlocking Value Through Operator–Influencer Collaborations, will feature Aruan Felix, one of Brazil’s most influential gaming and streaming personalities, examining how brands can build trust and cultural relevance by working responsibly with the right influencers and streamers.

With a community of over 7 million followers across YouTube and Instagram, Felix will draw on his experience across major digital platforms to share practical guidance on selecting the right partners and designing collaborations that resonate with audiences while meeting regulatory expectations.

Beyond the headline speakers, the session Breaking Down Brazil’s Marketing Rulebook, taking place on Thursday, 5 March (11:00–11:40), will bring together experts from Meta, CONAR, and the homegrown marketing agency Propane

The panel will provide delegates with a clear breakdown of CONAR and Meta’s advertising standards, outlining what is and isn’t permissible for betting brands. Speakers Sandro Cachiello (Head of RMG, Meta), Juliana Albuquerque (Vice President, CONAR), and Leonardo Benites (COO, Propane) will discuss how to design advertising that is both engaging and responsible.

Rasmus Sojmark (CEO & Founder, SBC) said: “Brazil’s market is evolving incredibly quickly, and so is the way brands need to show up. Operators have a real opportunity to build something meaningful here, but it takes strategy, cultural understanding, and a responsible approach. That’s exactly what we’re focusing on at SBC Summit Rio.”

SBC Summit Rio will bring together 15,000 attendees for three days of networking, education, and business development. More than 150 speakers will address the industry across dedicated tracks, including Leadership, Tech Innovation, and Marketing, with specialist summits such as the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit offering focused insights into Brazil’s affiliate and payments ecosystems.

The exhibition floor will host over 400 exhibiting and sponsoring brands, providing delegates with direct access to the latest products, services, and innovations. With leading licensed operators and prospective market entrants under one roof, SBC Summit Rio has established itself as the essential gathering for anyone looking to succeed in Brazil’s rapidly evolving regulated market.
