Tabcorp subsidiary Sky Racing World has signed an agreement with North American 1/ST TECHNOLOGY, leveraging the latter’s AmTote International product.
As 1/ST TECHNOLOGY’s leading offering in its portfolio, AmTote will be utilised by Sky Racing World as its wagering platform, initially to facilitate international commingling into Australian racing hosts’ pools for greyhound racing from the North American market.
The new partners intend to use the partnership to allow for the commingling of tote pools to ‘continue and flourish,’ whilst supporting the expansion of the liquidity of these for bettors across active jurisdictions.
“Sky Racing World is looking forward to expanding its menu of premium international racing content in North America with the introduction of commingling on Australian greyhound racing,” said David Haslett, CEO of Sky Racing World.
“As a key wagering partner, 1/ST TECHNOLOGY and AmTote have supported the growth of international racing in the marketplace, while the strength of their wagering platform makes it the technology of choice to facilitate commingling into Australian pools, helping drive growth and diversified revenues for the Australian greyhound sector.”
The agreement also represents a significant expansion of both 1/ST TECHNOLOGY and AmTote’s international reach, with the latter already used at the Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park, Saratoga Race Course, Belmont Park, Aqueduct and Woodbine.
Under the terms of the contract, AmTote will extend into Australian racing, whilst also boosting its profile in the Southern Hemisphere due to Sky Racing World’s status as the ‘premier digital source for live video broadcasts, data and premium tipping content’ for the region.
Additionally, Sky Racing World will retain predominantly exclusive rights to distribute live racing from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, Singapore, and Japan as well as territories across the Americas and the Caribbean.
Keith Johnson, Chief Revenue Officer at 1/ST TECHNOLOGY, commented: “1/ST TECHNOLOGY and AmTote are proud to expand our ongoing relationship with Sky Racing World and Tabcorp.
“We look forward to collectively facilitating our broader wagering network for the Australian greyhound racing industry, as well as for the benefit of North American and global wagering operators where there remains significant demand for this racing content.”
The agreement comes as the bidding contest for Sky Racing World’s parent company, Tabcorp, continues. FTSE100 firm Entain and ASX-listed company BetMakers are the two frontrunners in the competition – making bids of AUS $3.5 billion and AUS $4 billion respectively – with the former recently expressing ‘disappointment’ at Tabcorp’s decision to demerge its Wagering & Gaming and Lotteries & Keno units.
