Spotlight Sports Group (SSG) has enhanced its standing in the North American fantasy sports market, supporting the launch of the Fantasy Life website.
A project by Matthew Berry, former Senior Fantasy Sports Analyst with ESPN and a prominent name in the space, Fantasy Life is a full-featured and stats-supported fantasy American football platform.
Under the terms of its agreement with London-based SSG, Fantasy Life will leverage its new partner’s sports betting and fantasy sports tools, used to coordinate the site’s launch ‘in a matter of weeks’.
“Since our time with Rotoworld, we have wanted to work together again’’ said Rick Wolf, SVP of Partnerships at SSG, and member of the Fantasy Sports Hall of Fame.
“With Eliot Crist as CEO, it makes this an even easier partnership as no one outside of Spotlight Sports Group better understands how to maximise our systems, especially the ToolsMaker, to deliver content, personalization and interactivity to their audience.”
A well-established betting services supplier and publisher in Europe, SSG is a familiar face across the British wagering industry due to its publication Racing Post – distributed in betting shops and newsagents throughout the country – as well as other brands such as PIckWise and MyRacing.
As the US sports betting and gaming industry has rapidly expanded, the company has looked to solidify its position in the burgeoning market, striking partnerships with the likes of FanDuel and Playmaker Capital’s Yardbarker.
Fantasy Life, meanwhile, represents an opportunity for the group to further bolster its foothold in US fantasy sports. The site will feature content, videos, tools and features tailored for fantasy sports followers, whilst also supporting the Fantasy Life Newsletter.
Berry remarked: “When anyone looks to do something right in fantasy sports, they find Rick Wolf. Spotlight Sports Group’s product division in the US has delivered top-notch solutions for many in fantasy sports and sports betting, and we wanted to partner with the best.”
