Stats Perform has announced a five-year extension of its partnership with TruMedia, which will see the duo continue to develop the ProVision analytics platform.
Development on ProVision throughout 2021 has seen the integration of tracking data into the platform and the introduction of an enhanced API, allowing for the automated export of a sports club’s custom reports into third party software such as R and Tableau.
By enacting these changes and continuing development, Stats Perform and TruMedia intend to enable sports clubs – over 90 professional football and cricket teams currently utilise the platform – to streamline analysis processes and make data more accessible within internal systems.
Ben Mackriell, Stats Perform VP for Data, AI & Pro Products, remarked: “TruMedia are a hugely valued strategic partner, whose engineering expertise is helping clubs, national federations and franchises intelligently apply Opta data and advanced metrics to get a better understanding of how a team or player performs in different scenarios.
“Together we are looking forward to introducing further updates to ProVision before the end of the year, including the launch of a brand new video player, which will further assist data analysts with reviewing performance to share engaging insights with players and coaches.”
Additionally, StatsPerform and TruMedia aim to leverage the ProVision platform to allow a sports team’s data analysts to create and save custom KPIs and reports unique to their specific requirements across tournaments.
Users can use the product to create custom reports to shortlist and compare players across multiple competitions to strengthen recruitment strategies, as well as curate specific playlists for coaches and scouts to watch on-demand video for opposition scouting.
“I am very happy that TruMedia and Stats Perform will be continuing to work together,” commented TruMedia Vice President, Albert Larcada. “Since we first launched ProVision in 2017, we have constantly looked to evolve the platform to reflect the changing requirements of analysts working across elite football and cricket.
“This has resulted in us recently introducing new data filters, enhanced data visualisation templates and a flexible live API, allowing users to utilise their customised ProVision stats and reports in their preferred coding platform. Through close collaboration, we will be looking to help our world-class clients optimise key match analysis and recruitment processes.”
The extension is Stats Perform’s third major agreement in recent months, having linked with the FA Women’s Super League (FA WSL) and Borussia Dortmund as an official data partner in September, whilst also releasing its joint suspicious betting report with Starlizard earlier this month.
