The Pools has launched a new product to coincide with the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, marking its first title centred around the women’s game.
Announced two days into the continental tournament, hosted in England, the Footie 5 game is a free-to-play (FTP) product with a £25,000 jackpot.
Players must correctly predict the scores from five Euros fixtures, whilst a swap feature can be used to personalise the individual experience and increase chances of winning.
Lee Pinnington, Chief Marketing Officer at The Pools, said: “What better way to kick off the Women’s Euros than by giving our players the opportunity to predict the scores and have the chance of winning the £25,000 Footie 5 jackpot prize.
“This is shaping up to be such an amazing tournament, so we’re delighted to be playing our part in that and adding to the excitement for the fans.”
Additionally, the title also contains a Beat the Pundit feature, whilst players can also set up their own league to compete against friends and fellow football fans.
Kicking off on Wednesday night, England’s opening game of the tournament against Austria saw a record attendance for a women’s football match of 68,781 at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium.
“The Pools is synonymous with football, and I remember watching and waiting every Saturday afternoon to see if I could get the score draws,” commented Rachel Brown-Finnis, former England goalkeeper and current pundit and Pools panellist.
“Now women’s football is on the radar, there’s a Pools game around the Women’s Euros and Footie 5 is so easy to win. With such a big jackpot, it’s a great way for women’s football fans to get involved.”
Writing for SBC News earlier this week, The Pools’ Partnership Marketing Manager, Andrea Foley, discussed the dynamics of cross-selling products to a sports betting audience.
Specifically, Foley focused on the importance of building up a strong sense of trust between provider and customer in order to facilitate effective cross-selling.
