Gamban has expanded its North American presence, linking with KaFe Rock’s Time2play brand to offer its services to the casino comparison site.
The Malta-based firm’s US-facing subsidiary has outlined greater safer betting provisions and minimisation of gambling related harm as a key objective, with the wagering industry growing across the country.
By linking with Gamban – which enables users to block access to all gambling websites when installed on their devices – Time2play aims to promote cooperation between casino providers and responsible gambling organisations.
The deal represents a further expansion of Gamban’s international scope in 2022, building on the launch of its Spanish-language service earlier this month – available in Spain and Latin American countries – as well as a partnership secured with PayPal in January.
Gamban Co-Founder Jack Symons said: “It’s vital that players understand that there is support available if things get out of control. Affiliates are positioned to make people aware of these resources early on.
“Through better visibility and accessibility of these resources, Time2play can raise standards for affiliates in reducing gambling harm.”
As part of the agreement between the two groups, Time2play will offer its users free access to Gamban if they choose it, allowing its customers to bypass the blocking software’s usual $35 annual fee.
Time2Play is one of KaFe Rock’s most recently launched affiliate networks, whilst its parent company is active in 15 markets with 40 sites in its ‘core engine’ network, operating with a focus on sports betting and casino.
Tim Tepass, Time2Play Co-Founder, remarked: “We wanted to do more to help any of our players that may be struggling with gambling addiction. Gamban was the obvious choice for us because of its reliable technology. Other tools are easily bypassed and don’t offer the same level of protection.
“We can’t say that we are ‘for the user’ without considering the implications of our product on problem gamblers. While most of our visitors are casual players looking for information on a casino, some could be at higher risk of gambling addiction. We want to do everything we can to support those people, and this collaboration is just the beginning of our efforts..”
