It was an unforgettable night at Club 3000 Bingo Edinburgh this week, as one lucky local walked away with a life-changing £50,000 jackpot.
The jubilant winner, Shaileen Manders, hit the big prize during the National Bingo Game on 9th September. Playing on her own, Shaileen’s numbers came up in less than 16 calls – enough to scoop the top prize and send the popular bingo club into celebration.
Shaileen, who has been playing bingo for almost four decades, was introduced to the game by her late aunt. She described the moment as nothing short of incredible.
“It was unbelievable when I realised I had called in less than 16 numbers, resulting in me winning the big life-changing prize of £50,000,” she said. “Everyone was congratulating me and the entire club erupted. I’m absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to start planning how I’ll spend the money. I’m so excited to celebrate with my friends and family, help them out, and go on an amazing holiday.”
Shaileen also shared how much bingo means to her: “I love bingo — it’s my special time. It feels like one big family here, somewhere you can come with friends or on your own and always feel welcome. My auntie, who introduced me to bingo all those years ago, will be looking down with a smile on her face.”
