Analysed figures from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) found that the town has 15 bingo halls per 100,000 people.

Great Yarmouth beat strong competition from places like Blackpool and Hull.

The closest competitor to Great Yarmouth was the East Lindsey area, which is home to the town of Skegness.

Hastings, Torbay, and Tendring made up the rest of the top five in the list, with the latter two having nearly half the number of bingo halls found in Great Yarmouth.

All of the top five are seaside spots, showing the strength of bingo in coastal parts of the UK.

Why Great Yarmouth Wins the Title

Several factors contribute to Great Yarmouth’s new title as the Bingo Capital of the UK. The research highlights the number of dedicated bingo halls, the frequency of bingo nights, and the accessibility for both residents and visitors. With its mix of seaside leisure and community entertainment, the town offers bingo enthusiasts a compelling destination.

With its unique blend of seaside charm and bingo culture, Great Yarmouth is now firmly on the map for bingo fans across the UK.
