New Bingo Association CEO Announced

By | January 9, 2026

The Bingo Association has confirmed Nicole Garrett as its next Chief Executive Officer, signalling a new phase of leadership for the UK bingo sector as it prepares for long-term regulatory and consumer change.

Garrett will assume the role in Spring 2026, following the planned departure of current CEO Miles Baron, who will step down at the end of June after 14 years leading the organisation and representing the interests of land-based and online bingo operators.

Currently Group Head of Responsible Gaming at Allwyn International, Garrett has overseen safer-play strategies and cross-market initiatives across the lottery operator’s international portfolio. Her appointment reflects a growing emphasis within the bingo sector on social responsibility, regulatory engagement and sustainable growth.

Agreement Across the Board

The move forms part of a jointly agreed succession plan between the Bingo Association, the National Bingo Game Association (NBGA) and Meeron Limited, ensuring continuity across the sector’s key representative bodies.

Garrett brings broad experience from across the UK’s regulated betting and gaming industry. Previous roles include Head of Corporate Affairs at bet365 and Head of Policy at the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC), where she worked closely with government, regulators and industry stakeholders on policy reform and compliance matters.

Welcoming the appointment, the boards of the Bingo Association, NBGA and Meeron highlighted Garrett’s ability to bridge regulatory priorities with the unique community role bingo plays across the UK.

A joint statement read:

Nicole brings an exceptional breadth of experience from across the wider gaming sector, with a strong track record in policy development, regulatory engagement, and responsible gaming. We are confident she will provide outstanding leadership as the bingo industry navigates an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape.”

Garrett said she was looking forward to joining the sector at a pivotal moment. She said:

“I am thrilled to be joining the Bingo Association, the National Bingo Game Association and Meeron at such an important time for the bingo industry. Bingo plays a unique and valued role within local communities, and I look forward to working closely with members and stakeholders to support the sector and help shape its future.”

Her appointment comes as UK bingo operators continue to respond to changing player habits, digital innovation, and ongoing scrutiny of gambling regulation, with community engagement and player protection remaining central to the sector’s identity.
