Las Vegas casinos don’t offer blackjack promotions very often. We try to share details on blackjack promotions and tournaments when we see them.
This week Rampart Casino in Summerlin (about 20-25 minutes from the Vegas Strip) announced the $40,000 Turn the Tales Blackjack Challenge that will take place every Friday and Saturday in August.
Rampart Casino is a bit off the beaten path but it’s become one of my favorite casinos in the area I live. The casino is smaller than nearby Red Rock Casino and Suncoast.
Since it’s smaller, Rampart is less busy than the other nearby casinos. This makes visiting the property a more relaxing experience. It doesn’t hurt that table limits are also on the lower side of Las Vegas locals casinos.
Blackjack Challenge at Rampart Casino
Rampart Casino is offering the $40,000 “Turn the Tales Blackjack Challenge” every Friday & Saturday at 9 p.m. & 10 p.m. during the month of August. The blackjack event starts with promotional chips that can become real money.
In order to participate in the “Turn the Tales Blackjack Challenge,” players must earn entries gambling at Rampart Casino during the week.
One hour of blackjack or any table game play at a $10 average bet equals one entry for the blackjack event. Players can earn double entries playing between Sunday and Thursday. The entries earned are only good for one week.
10 winners in the “Turn the Tales Blackjack Challenge” will get a chance to go hand-to-hand against the casino for cash. Each guest participating will play blackjack against a “Celebrity” dealer.
Players will start with $200 in promotional chips and can walk away with cash winnings. Any player that receives three natural blackjacks in a row with a maximum bet will win $2,000 cash.
In addition to the “Turn the Tales Blackjack Challenge”, Rampart has promotions for slot machines, video poker, bingo, and other table games throughout the month. You just need to use the Rampart Rewards players club card to be a part of any casino promotions at Rampart.
Visit Rampart Casino for more information on this and other promotions.
Rampart Casino Highlights
Rampart Casino has become one of my favorite casinos in the Summerlin area. It wasn’t always that way.
I fell in love with Red Rock Casino when I first moved to Las Vegas. After a while, I was in the mood for a different experience and found that at Rampart Casino.
My opinion changed after the casino opened its current sportsbook. This was the beginning of a long-term renovation.
The smoke-free sportsbook has good screens, ample seating, and a nearby non-smoking slots area with video poker games that have fair paytables. I spend most of my time at Rampart in this area since there’s a nearby Starbucks. I can work and play in a quieter part of the property.
The casino and sportsbook aren’t as busy as Red Rock so I started visiting when I wanted a more mellow experience. The desire to be in this kind of environment when visiting a local casino continues to increase as I get older.
The 50,000-square-foot casino has about 25 gaming tables. The minimums are low and all blackjack games pay 3:2.
The property is connected by indoor and outdoor walkways to the J.W. Marriott. The hotel’s steakhouse, Hawthorne Grill, has a great and affordable Happy Hour with indoor and outdoor seating.
Unlike some restaurants at attached hotel properties, Hawthorne Grill accepts Rampart players club points. This makes early dinner and drinks even cheaper.
The Summerlin area casinos all offer a different experience. Having access to casinos with different offerings at Rampart and Red Rock is one of the great things about living in the Las Vegas suburbs.
