Circa-Sports-unveils-Kentuckys-largest-sportsbookCirca Sports has officially introduced Kentucky’s largest sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin, setting a new benchmark for sports betting venues in the region. Spanning 5,100 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility is not only the biggest in the state but also one of the most expansive sportsbook spaces east of the Mississippi.

Located at Kentucky Downs, the venue blends modern technology with a high-end spectator experience. At its center is an eye-catching 80-foot-wide LED screen broadcasting live sports, complemented by a 31-foot real-time odds board.

Visitors can enjoy a range of seating options, including stadium-style chairs for 113 guests, private booths, and luxurious recliners—all designed to offer maximum comfort for extended viewing.

Features Designed for Bettors and Fans

Circa’s latest venue is tailored to suit both seasoned gamblers and casual spectators. It includes five staffed betting stations and four self-service kiosks, some of which are ADA-compliant, ensuring accessibility for all guests.

Another standout addition is the new VSiN (Vegas Stats & Information Network) studio built directly into the sportsbook. This broadcast studio produces live sports content, expert analysis, and interviews for a national audience—all from Franklin, Kentucky.

Johan Mirkovic, Vice President of The Mint Gaming Hall, described the space as a unique destination for fans. “Where passion meets precision — experience every moment on the massive 80-foot screen, indulge in premium comfort, and stay ahead with real-time updates. Here, the thrill of the game and the excitement of the bet come together in a state-of-the-art haven, inspiring champions both on and off the field.”

Mobile Expansion and NFL Contest Growth

Circa Sports has steadily expanded its footprint and now operates its mobile app in five U.S. states: Nevada, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, and Kentucky.

As part of its growing NFL contest offerings, Circa has raised the prize pool for its Circa Survivor challenge from $10 million to $15 million in 2025. The company also rolled out a new premium-level contest called Circa Grandissimo. With a $100,000 buy-in, a two-entry maximum, and a guaranteed $1.5 million prize pool, the contest caters to high-stakes competitors.

Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports, shared his excitement about the Franklin opening. “We’re proud to officially open the doors to this new sports betting experience for fans across the region. Whether you’re placing a bet or simply watching the action unfold, this book is built to be a premier gameday spot for Kentucky, Nashville, and beyond.”

Economic Potential and Regional Influence

Although currently in a soft-launch phase, the sportsbook will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 20, 2025, followed by a public launch on August 23.

Strategically located near the Tennessee border, the sportsbook is expected to attract visitors from nearby areas including Nashville. It is also anticipated to contribute positively to the local economy through increased tourism and job opportunities.

Meanwhile, Circa is also eyeing Missouri, where it has applied for one of two untethered sports betting licenses—positions that don’t require a casino or team affiliation—putting it in direct competition with industry heavyweights such as DraftKings and FanDuel.
