Evolution’s Top Online Slots to Hit Casino Floors Through Gaming Arts Deal

By | September 23, 2025

In a rare reversal of industry trends, Evolution is taking its most successful online slot games and transforming them into land-based titles. The move comes through a new partnership with Gaming Arts, which will work alongside Bluhare Studios to bring the titles to life on high-performance physical cabinets across North America.

The collaboration marks a significant evolution in slot development, as content typically moves from casinos to online—not the other way around.

Digital Favorites Reimagined for the Casino Experience

The first wave of games is scheduled to debut in Q4 2025, with four revamped titles launching exclusively on Gaming Arts’ MOD EX cabinet series, including models J55, 227, and 337.

Leading the lineup is Divine Fortune, a standout performer in online casinos across states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. The reimagined version, Divine Fortune Ascension, adds new features like a three-pot perceived persistence mechanic aimed at increasing player retention.

Alongside it, Evolution will introduce Starburst Supernova, an adaptation of its iconic 2012 hit Starburst, which has remained a staple in digital slots. The Supernova version includes multiplayer functionality and introduces a persistent bonus mechanic that leads to a new hold-and-spin feature. It will be launched as part of a two-game pack that includes the original.

A New Direction for Slot Innovation

This initiative stands out for reversing the traditional direction of game adaptation, where land-based titles are typically ported to online platforms.

“What excites us now is reversing that trend by taking some of the most successful games in the history of online gaming and bringing them to land-based casinos,” said Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution.

He added, “This collaboration allows us to bring our world-class IP to the incredibly talented team at Gaming Arts, and watching them work their land-based magic to adapt and reimagine our games has been truly inspiring.”

Haushalter has previously noted the difficulty of creating a unified player experience across platforms, “The tricky part is creating a game that remains familiar and compelling to land-based players in the casino, so they don’t feel like they’re playing second fiddle to the online players, while simultaneously creating an environment where the online players don’t feel like they are second-class citizens either.”

Marketing Synergy and Cabinet Innovation

The releases will be accompanied by a coordinated marketing campaign spanning both online and in-person channels, strengthening cross-platform brand engagement.

Rob Ziems, CEO of Gaming Arts, emphasized the collaborative nature of the partnership: “This collaboration goes beyond simply combining Evolution’s exceptional game brands with our latest MOD EX hardware. We are working closely with Evolution to effectively adapt these classics for land-based play while also innovating and modernising them to create fresh, engaging experiences that will truly resonate with today’s casino players.”

The partnership not only extends the reach of Evolution’s top-performing IP but also allows Gaming Arts to showcase its cabinet technology while appealing to a growing crossover audience of online and casino players.
