Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has news from Sweden where the company has secured another major approval!
Although the company received approval just a few weeks ago, thanks to whom it stepped into Maryland and Pennsylvania, it continues to strengthen its business roots in Europe!
Important Move!
The Swedish government has made new decisions according to which companies that do not guarantee a new approval by July 1st, 2023 will not be able to continue their operations on the market.
Several companies have started the process of obtaining this approval, and Gaming Innovation Group is one of the first B2B brands that boasted this green light.
The license was issued by the competent authorities of Sweden, the Swedish Gaming Authority, Spelinspektionen.
This regulator approved the continuation of the company’s operations on the market, which means that local players will be able to continue enjoying their favorite products!
Also, this step marks a major milestone for the company, which already enjoys an enviable position in the region, considering that it has been present on the market since its launch, and is also listed on NASDAQ Stockholm.
GiG is also one of the leading platform providers powering Suprnation, Lucky Days, and Betsson’s Zecure brands in Sweden.
Forefront of Compliance
The developer is pleased to be ahead of the game and on target with changes this coming July.
Claudio Caruana, General Counsel for GiGsays: “As regulators continue to build more robust requirements on industry suppliers and operators, we will continue to dedicate our resources to ensuring that the development of our technology and procedures places us at the forefront on matters of compliance.”
Marcel Elfersy, Chief Commercial Officer at GiG added: “We have been an active presence in Sweden for many years, with the company having its origins in the region, and we have a deep understanding of the needs of operators in the local market. Our platform and sportsbook are well suited to the increasingly complex regulatory environments there and we look forward to continuing to help power sustainable growth in Sweden with our depth of experience, leading software, and dedicated, localized service.”
