Jake Paul’s Betr Arcade Goes Live with Skill Games in 29 States

By | August 26, 2025

Betr Arcade, a real-money, skill-based gaming platform backed by Jake Paul, has officially rolled out across 29 U.S. states. Built within the Betr Picks app, the platform introduces four peer-to-peer games at launch, marking a strategic entry into markets where traditional online casino gaming remains restricted.

New Platform Focuses on Skill, Not Chance

Betr Arcade offers an alternative to chance-driven casino games, highlighting player decision-making as its core mechanic. At launch, users can compete in four games—21, Fruit Match, Crossout 21, and 5 Across—with minimum bets set at $1.25. A practice mode is available to help players get acquainted before wagering real money.

What sets Betr Arcade apart is its peer-to-peer model, meaning players compete against each other, not the house. This structure allows the company to bypass the gambling restrictions present in many states where real-money games of chance remain illegal.

Legal Strategy Enables Broad Reach

Betr Arcade is now operational in 29 states, though the company hasn’t released the full list. The parent Betr Picks app operates in 32 states, including large markets such as California, Florida, and Texas—with 15 states offering peer-to-peer games only to meet legal compliance.

This model is particularly timely given legal uncertainty in some jurisdictions. For instance, California Attorney General Rob Bonta recently declared house-backed daily fantasy sports (DFS) illegal, prompting threats of enforcement action. In response, Betr transitioned its fantasy offerings in California to a fully peer-to-peer format.

Previously, Betr received a cease-and-desist letter in Florida, alongside other DFS platforms. These regulatory pressures have pushed the company to double down on its “skill game” identity to maintain market access.

Jake Paul’s Influence and Future Plans

Jake Paul, co-founder of Betr and a high-profile influencer, has played a central role in promoting Betr Arcade. His involvement has generated considerable public interest, especially among younger audiences familiar with his digital persona.

Paul appeared in a promotional video playing 21, which was shared by Betr CEO Joey Levy on social media to coincide with the launch. The company has hinted at expanding the Arcade’s game offerings and introducing additional gaming formats through the Betr Picks app in the near future.

PointsBet Dispute and Micro-Betting Vision

Outside of the U.S. market, Betr remains locked in a corporate battle with MIXI Australia over control of PointsBet. Betr, which owns a 20% stake in the company, is opposing MIXI’s $1.31-per-share offer to acquire 90% ownership, claiming its own $1.35 bid offers superior value.

In the U.S., Betr’s long-term strategy still includes a strong push for micro-betting. At the company’s inception in 2022, Levy said: “If we believe that micro‑betting will be the predominant way people bet on sports in the US, then someone should launch the world’s first micro‑betting focused app. This is why we are starting Betr.”

While New Jersey lawmakers have proposed restrictions on micro-bets due to match-fixing concerns, Betr’s expansion into skill-based games through Betr Arcade gives it a legal pathway to maintain nationwide presence, regardless of evolving regulations.
