Atlantic City’s online casinos reached a new milestone in December 2025, generating $273.2 million and surpassing the previous record of $260.3 million set in October. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported the total monthly online casino revenue represented a 19.8% increase compared to December 2024.

For the full year, online casino operators earned $2.91 billion, marking a 22% growth over 2024. The December result also extended a remarkable streak: 17 consecutive months of revenue exceeding $200 million. The state collected $60.7 million in taxes from December’s online gaming haul, bringing total 2025 online gaming taxes to nearly $581.9 million. The tax rate had increased to 19.75% effective July 1, 2025. These results underscore the growing significance of online gaming in the state’s broader gaming economy.

Total Gaming Revenue and Casino Performance

Overall, total gaming revenue across casinos, racetracks, and their partners reached $605.6 million in December 2025, a 15.9% increase compared to the same month in 2024. For the year, total revenue totaled $6.98 billion, up 10.8% from $6.30 billion in 2024. Total gross revenue taxes collected were $89.9 million for December and $884.1 million for the year.

The nine casino hotels reported a combined Casino Win of $216.1 million in December, down 6.7% from $231.8 million the previous year. On an annual basis, the Casino Win for 2025 rose to $2.89 billion, reflecting a 2.7% increase over 2024.

Sports wagering also contributed strongly. Sports Wagering Gross Revenue reached $116.3 million in December, an 85.0% increase from $62.8 million in December 2024. For the year, sports betting generated $1.18 billion, a 7.5% growth from $1.09 billion in 2024. These figures highlight the continued expansion of sports betting as a major revenue driver alongside traditional casino operations.

Leading Operators in the Online Market

FanDuel topped the online gaming market with $61.9 million in revenue for December and a yearly total of $655.5 million, up 29.4% over 2024. DraftKings ranked second with $52.2 million in December and a 2025 total of $569.8 million, a 10.6% increase from the previous year. Its December figure was also a record for the operator. BetMGM held third place with $37 million in December and $376 million for the year, reflecting a 30.7% rise over 2024.

Not all operators saw gains. Bally Bet, Tropicana, Resorts Casino, Monopoly, PokerStars, Jackpocket, and Harrah’s experienced year-over-year declines in 2025 compared to 2024. Despite these declines, the overall performance demonstrates how online and sports wagering continue to reshape the revenue landscape of New Jersey’s gaming industry.

The December figures and full-year performance highlight the sustained growth of online gaming in New Jersey, driven by popular operators and expanding sports wagering activity, even as some traditional casinos posted softer results. Analysts note that the combination of tax increases, operator innovation, and expanding market participation contributed to the record-breaking numbers.
