The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (Canada), National Indian Gaming Commission (United States of America) and the Office of Responsible Gambling (New South Wales, Australia) are the winners in IAGR’s 2022 awards program, the International Regulatory Awards.
The award winners were announced last night at a Gala Dinner in Melbourne during the annual IAGR conference.
The awards aim to recognise exceptional regulators who are helping drive the industry forward. They were judged by a committee made up of IAGR Trustees and independent stakeholders.
- The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario took home the award for Regulatory Excellence for their work establishing an outcomes-based regulatory framework for igaming.
- The National Indian Gaming Commission receive the award for Regulatory Innovation for the novel framework implemented to share information among gaming regulation technology experts around cyber intrusions.
- The Office of Responsible Gambling received the award for Best Regulatory Campaign for the second year in a row, this time for The Number that Changed Our Life This campaign was designed to directly address culturally and linguistically diverse communities in New South Wales where problems with gambling are prevalent.
