Sportsbook provider builds on Isle of Man Marathon sponsorship deal by championing year-round community sports
Altenar, a leading sportsbook and iGaming software provider, has built on its commitment to support community athletics by funding branded merchandise, a raffle and reward scheme for volunteers.
Enhancing its three-year sponsorship of the Isle of Man Marathon, due to take place this year on 11th August, Altenar joined forces with the running event’s record holder Ollie Lockley, who is Athletics Development Officer for Isle of Man Athletics, to support volunteer participation.
Altenar’s Art Director Marat Garipov worked alongside Ollie to develop various co-branded designs for merchandise, ranging from bobble hats to weatherproof jackets, before collaborating with a local printer to produce distinctive artwork that reflects themes of the Isle of Man, athletics and volunteering.
As part of the loyalty reward scheme, volunteers from local athletics clubs can receive stamps for every event they volunteer at, with those who gain five, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 50 stamps able to convert them into kit and merchandise. Each stamp also earns them one entry into the volunteer raffle.
The significant contribution demonstrates Altenar’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves, with a particular focus on championing local sporting causes.
John Quaye, CFO at Altenar, said: “We are delighted to support the Isle of Man Athletics Association in their efforts to recognise the hard work and commitment given by volunteers, without whom many events simply couldn’t take place. Those who know Manx weather will know that this can often be especially challenging.
“Our support will hopefully encourage more volunteers to come forward and support what is a great local community for running, walking and athletics. Giving back to the local community is something we take pride in and hope this will be a great success.”
