Caesars Entertainment, Inc. has announced the appointment of seasoned gaming executive John Koster to the position of Regional President, overseeing the company’s Eastern Division.*
In his new role, Koster will oversee Caesars Entertainment’s Atlantic City resorts – Tropicana, Harrah’s Resort, and Caesars Atlantic City – as well as Harrah’s Philadelphia and Horseshoe Baltimore.
An accomplished hospitality leader, who has held positions both with the legacy Eldorado and the legacy Caesars Entertainment companies, Koster most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars Entertainment’s Lake Tahoe properties. His career has spanned five countries leading hotel, restaurant, and gaming teams in destinations as varied as Laughlin, Nevada, and Hong Kong. After international experience in the hospitality industry, he began working in gaming when he landed at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas. Koster later joined Harrah’s Las Vegas, going on to serve as Regional President of the Western Region, taking on the leadership of Caesars properties in Reno, Tahoe, and Laughlin. In 2018, he joined Eldorado as the General Manager of the Grand Victoria in Elgin, IL, before assuming corporate roles with the Company.
“John’s in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry, as well as his passion for going all in on service, make him the logical choice to lead our East Coast properties into the future,” said Anthony Carano, President and Chief Operating Officer for Caesars Entertainment. “The next three years, particularly in Atlantic City, will be an exciting time for our Company with $400 million in upgrades and enhancements planned at our resorts. Our master capital plan will undoubtedly transform Atlantic City as a top destination market, and I am confident that under John’s leadership, our East Coast properties will be well-positioned for long-term success.”
