Gambling in Nevada won $1.23 billion in the month of May, shattering the previous record of $1.17 billion. So I guess you can honestly say Sin City has made a full recovery from the pandemic. But setting records was not exclusive to casino games or Las Vegas! US casinos in Mississippi are also up over 20% bringing in over a billion dollars for that state as well. Officials in Mississippi credit post pandemic tourism. And even though Louisiana is still under some COVID restrictions, casinos in New Orleans were able to bring in nearly $60 million! Plus, sports betting is set to launch in that state as early as October. So things are looking up!
