VIP Entertainment Technologies announced that it has been granted a Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) Remote Gaming License for operations in Canada. With the receipt of the KGC license, VIP is once again able to offer its iGaming services in Canada, excluding Ontario.

Fanatics announced the appointment of Parag Agrawal to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Fanatics Holdings Inc. In this newly created role, Agrawal will lead Fanatics’ internal digital systems transformation, which spans accounting, financial planning and analysis and human resources; create a dedicated IT infrastructure for the company’s corporate entity; and partner with the businesses to further enhance global IT capabilities across the Fanatics’ enterprise.

North Carolina has become the latest state launch for award-winning global managed hosting, connectivity, cloud and security provider, Continent 8 Technologies. This comes ahead of North Carolina opening its doors to legal online sports betting for the first time in early 2024.

The Brazilian government has issued a provisional decree to authorise sports betting and tax companies’ revenues by 18%. The move comes amid a sprawling investigation that ensnared dozens of players in a match-fixing scandal.

Game of Silks, the first metaverse that mirrors the real world of thoroughbred horse racing, has added Ron Luniewski, a sports, gaming and entertainment veteran with a proven track record of success and growth, to its executive suite. Luniewski joins Silks from the gaming world where he established a reputation as a builder, leveraging emerging technology to initiate hyper growth for companies and lead them successfully through massive expansion.

VICI Properties Inc. announced that it has completed the previously announced transaction to acquire an interest in the land and buildings associated with Rocky Gap Casino Resort, located in Flintstone, Maryland from Golden Entertainment Inc. for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $203.9 million in cash. The transaction was funded through a combination of cash on hand and proceeds from the partial settlement of forward equity sale agreements.

Partnerships

Fortune Coins Casino, owned by Blazesoft, has entered into a strategic partnership with Pragmatic Play, a leading content provider to the Gaming industry. Through the partnership, Fortune Coins will provide customers with immersive slots, bingo and other player-favourite gaming opportunities.

Pro League Network and Brinx TV (Brinx.tv) will bring PLN’s made-for-wagering sports to a wider audience on the Brinx TV platform. As part of the rights deal, Brinx TV and PLN will jointly produce live made-for-wagering sporting events exclusive to the Brinx.TV platform and additional shoulder programming focused on PLN sports.

International Game Technology (IGT) announced that the Company will soon expand its sports betting footprint in Wisconsin, via a multi-year agreement with the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin. Under the terms of the agreement, IGT PlaySports technology will power retail sports betting at St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake, Wisc., St. Croix Casino in Danbury, Wisc. and St Croix Casino in Hertel, Wisc.

Circa Resort & Casino is partnering with the long-established industry leader, FullTime Fantasy Sports, to host the Circa-branded Fantasy Football World Championships and the Las Vegas Fantasy Championships.
