Hacksaw Gaming, the innovative mobile-first games provider, has been granted a provisional licence in West Virginia, to begin what its CEO Marcus Cordes describes as “the start of a significant expansion into the US”.
This latest licence comes after the company first made strides into North America in May 2022 when it was granted a licence in Ontario and now Hacksaw Gaming aims to go live in the US in Q1 of 2023 via its partnership with Light & Wonder.
Cordes said: “This latest expansion comes after our licence approvals in Romania and the Isle of Man earlier in 2022, so we’re finishing the year just as strongly as we started it.
“Being granted this licence is testimony to the quality of our games portfolio and shows just how robust and engaging our content is.”
Hacksaw Gaming’s new licence comes as West Virginia’s licensed iGaming operators saw a 60 per cent increase in October compared to the same month last year, with a 12 per cent increase on September of this year.
Christine Bordeaux, Hacksaw’s SVP of Compliance North America, said: “We have an exciting strategy for the US and our team is focused on delivering yet more excellent and memorable products to delight that market.”
Hacksaw Gaming develops slots, Instant win games and scratch cards. They work in more than 18 regulated markets and provides a secure iGaming platform to the largest online gaming brands, as well as to several governments.
