ParlayBay, the newly-launched provider of sports betting games, has appointed Patrick Nordwall as its first Chief Executive Officer.
Leading the start-up’s drive to disrupt the sports betting industry, Nordwall joins ParlayBay from renowned slot studio Yggdrasil, where he spent almost four years in various commercial and business development roles, most notably guiding the company into North America and spearheading its partnership with slot giant IGT.
Describing his tenure at Yggdrasil as “a great experience at a great company”, Nordwall went on to explain: “I’m delighted to be offered this exciting opportunity, to be a part of building a completely new product offering for the sports betting market. With a profound interest in sports, both on and off the pitch, and my experience up to this point – this is my calling.”
Before joining the iGaming industry, Nordwall brought his vision to bear with financial services as a co-founder, developing brands from blank canvasses to profitable ventures while holding a variety of C-level positions. Part of the original dot-com boom, he was responsible for bringing one of the top five internet companies in the early 2000s to the stock exchange, after starting his career at telecoms giant Ericsson.
“I believe my diverse background at C-level, nurturing start-ups and my dedication and love for sports make this new adventure a perfect fit. Our products will make huge waves once we launch our real money operation and I can’t wait to make sports betting even more engaging with ParlayBay.”
Unveiled in September 2021, ParlayBay is set to transform the sports betting market by creating a game-changing experience for players. Its contemporary and engaging titles feature designs that enable a fantastic player-centric experience, going beyond simple gamification.
ParlayBay’s games take the key aspects of the casino, social gaming and sports betting and deliver it to players in a refined, modern package that features a slick UI to accentuate the experience, which can currently be sampled by operators, courtesy of a widely available demo.
