Svenska Spel has announced changes to its group management.
Current IT director Mikael Franzén will become head of the new group function Gaming responsibility & data-driven transformation. The new Head of IT will be Lovisa Ekman, who most recently came from the role of Head of Corporate IT at Svenska Spel. They will take up their new positions in group management on April 1.
Since autumn, Svenska Spel has been carrying out work to future-proof the group. This takes place through a review of organisation, working methods and costs to create room for growth. Svenska Spel has now decided on a new organisation which applies from April 1 and which includes, among other things, a new group function.
It also means two changes in the group management, which aim to strengthen Svenska Spel’s leading position in gambling responsibility, increase the ability to make data-driven decisions throughout the group and continued investments in IT and Tech.
Head of the new group function Gaming responsibility & data-driven transformation will be Mikael Franzén, who has been IT director at Svenska Spel since 2019. The new Head of IT will be Lovisa Ekman, who has worked at Svenska Spel since 2018, most recently as head of Corporate IT.
“I am very happy to welcome Mikael Franzén and Lovisa Ekman in their new roles. They are responsible for important areas in our work to ensure that Svenska Spel enters the future as a continued strong and competitive group. Mikael and Lovisa are also experienced leaders who are appreciated by both employees and group management,” Erik Strand, president and CEO of Svenska Spel, said.
