Australia-based betting data provider RAS Pty has appointed Brent Dolan as its Managing Director, tasking the new hire with coordinating its expansion in the Northern Hemisphere.
In pursuit of strengthening RAS’ foothold outside the Asia-Pacific region, Dolan will oversee development of the brand in Europe, including the launch of its Racing and Sports UK digital assets this spring.
The company has stated that this will be followed by ‘several other initiatives’ over the remainder of the year, leveraging his previous experience as a Director at SIS (Sports Information Services) and Betfred Tote and of working with key operators, clients and media rights holders.
Stephen Crispe, RAS CEO, remarked: “We’re delighted to have Brent on board, taking responsibility for the Northern Hemisphere operation. Brent is well known throughout the industry and we are thrilled to have him as part of the Executive team.”
“Racing and Sports Pty floated on the Australian stock exchange late last year with the likes of Entain taking a shareholding and Crispe added: “it is our aim to expand the business globally.”
Dolan’s experience in racing and betting saw him join SIS in 1987, holding the position of Operations Director as well as Head of Horse Racing Content.
At SIS he was responsible for supplying overseas racing to UK and Irish betting shops from France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Singapore, the USA, LARC and UAE, among other territories, as well as the provision of virtual products in 2002.
In his position at Betfred, he played a role in assisting the firm in establishing itself as a the UK Tote operator, after which he became a Director of Operations for the Greyhound Media Group (GMG) in 2016.
“I’m excited to be working with RAS, who are an extremely well respected data and technology provider in the Southern Hemisphere,” Dolan added.
