Entain has extended its contract with Light & Wonder (L&W) through to 2030, continuing to leverage the firm’s retail gaming solution and catalogue of titles.

The contract renewal will see L&W provide Entain with 10,000 gaming terminals, which will be fitted across the international gambling group’s Ladbrokes and Coral high-street licenced betting office (LBO) retail outlets.

Additionally, Entain will also be supplied with gaming content from L&W’s portfolio, including titles from its Manchester Studio, alongside operational and field service support, content and platform functionality with menu enhancements.

Lastly, Entain will leverage L&W’s content aggregation platform, which will provide 3,000 releases from international gaming providers fitted with responsible gambling tools.

The agreement represents another move by Entain to maintain and bolster its retail offering in the UK, following on from the renewal of its arrangements with SIS (Sports Information Services) and Racecourse Media Group (RMG) for the provision of racing content until 2026.

Andy Hicks, Retail MD UK & Ireland at Entain, said: “Our stores provide an engaging and differentiated experience for our customers. L&W enhances that with the industry’s best gaming machines backed up by a great range of leading games, service infrastructure and support.”

For L&W, the contract renewal marks a major agreement for the firm following its rebranding from Scientific Games Corporation (SGC), a decision made to promote itself as a ‘cross-platform’ games supplier for the global gambling sector.

In the weeks following last month’s, the company finalised the sale of its lottery unit to private investment fund Brookfield Business Partners for $5.8 billion, concluding negotiations that began in October of last year.

“We are delighted that Entain has chosen to continue our partnership through to 2030,” added Simon Johnson, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, EMEA at L&W.

“Our teams have more than 20 years of history together and we’re excited about supporting Entain through their next phase of growth and innovation. The future is exciting for both Entain and L&W.”
