FSB has strengthened the leadership of its expansion strategy in the Latin American markets, appointing David Charnock as its Business Development Director for the region.
As Business Development Director for LatAm for the sports betting and igaming platform provider, Charnock will operate out of FSB’s San Jose office, with the responsibility of ‘continuing the upward momentum’ that the firm has experienced in the fast growing gaming markets.
In order to effectively conduct this task, Chanrock will leverage FSB’s technologies and services with potential partners in both Central and South America, in addition to the Caribbean.
“I am delighted to be joining such an innovative, exciting company making a major play in Latin America,” Chanrock commented on his new role, “FSB’s ambitions are there for all to see and I’m excited to be playing a key part in their LatAm journey.
“I am looking forward to leveraging my network of contacts in the region and to help build on the established relationships FSB have in the region to truly showcase their market-leading products and services.”
The new appointee brings over 30 years of experience to the role, including a decade of involvement in the LatAm markets, having held senior positions at TCS John Huxley in addition to eight years building his own businesses in social enterprise, digital marketing and philanthropy in the area.
Prior to joining FSB, Chanrock was working on the establishment of a foundation for people suffering from homelesses and addiction in San Jose, Costa Rica, and is also fluent in Spanish whilst maintaining a strong understanding of Portuguese, Italian and French.
His new role will see him cooperate closely with FSB’s Chief Revenue Officer, Ian Freeman and Rest Of World Business Development Director, Rob Wheeler.
“David’s experience and deep understanding of the LatAm market will be a huge asset for FSB as we bid to continue our momentum in the region,” Freeman remarked.
“Latin America offers tremendous potential for a forward-thinking, challenger organisation like FSB, and David will help us drive our technologies and services in the region to allow operators to deliver the best possible experience to their players.
“Our increased presence in LatAm is another indicator of our growing global footprint in what has been a fast-paced exciting year at FSB. I look forward to working with him closely as we aim to build on this momentum and cement our reputation as one of the fastest growing global platform providers.”
Chanrock’s recruitment follows a number of additions to FSB’s team over the past year, including the aforementioned Freeman’s appointment as CRO in December 2020 and the signings of Larry Pelzer and Mike Van Ermen in January 2021 ahead of the company’s US entry.
