International Game Technology (IGT) has hired Gil Rotem to fill its vacancy of President of iGaming, with primary responsibility for the group’s igaming, poker and bingo businesses via the IGT PlayCasino unit.
In his new position, Rotem has been tasked with coordinating the ongoing development and global expansion of IGT PlayCasino, having been active in the industry for nearly two decades.
Rotem’s previous roles before joining IGT included senior positions with 888.com, where he was Director for Tech, Business Production, Admin and Exchange and Head of Tech; and bet365, where he served as Head of Gaming Operations; Chief Operating Officer, Gaming; and Group Director of Gaming Strategy between 2013 and 2017.

At 888 and bet365, Rotem held responsibility for strategic board level planning and operations and delivering high growth and product optimisation improvements in technology and gaming roles.
The new hire’s most recent position was as an independent consultant for bet365, where he led development and delivery of exclusive titles for the organisation’s proprietary games and jackpot platform.
He is the second major addition to the company’s senior leadership since the appointment of Joe Asher as President of its Digital & Betting sports wagering division last month, with both reporting directly to Enrico Drago.
