Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the Netherlands gambling authority, has announced that ZEbetting & Gaming Nederland BV has been retained as the operating company of Dutch horseracing’s totalizer contract.

Last Autumn, KSA launched a tender for its totaliser contract that was due to expire on 30 June 2022.

Updating stakeholders, KSA informed that ZEbetting’s monopoly licence had been extended for a further five years covering the operating period of 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2027.

The Dutch subsidiary of French racing group ZeTurf  – ZEbetting will continue to provide on-course wagering facilities for the four national racetracks of Drafbaan Groningen, Drafcentrum Alkmaar, Renbaan Duindigt and Victoria Park Wolvega.

KSA chose not to disclose whether it had received any rival bids to operate its totalizer contract that was maintained by ZEbetting.

Further Dutch market positive developments for ZeTurf saw KSA allow Zebetting to expand its licence, allowing the operator to provide online wagering services for Dutch horseracing.

In addition, Zebetting has been granted a KOA regime licence to offer a full-service online sportsbook through its ZeBet.nl domain.

zebet.nl will become the Dutch market’s eighth licensed sportsbook – competing against the brands of bet365.nl, Jacks.nl, LiveScore.nl, BetCity.nl, Sport Toto, Toto.nl and Holland Casino.
