Guilherme Bucchi,Rivalo has expanded the scope of its Latin American marketing, securing the ‘master sponsorship’ of Brazil’s BFA League American football tournament.

This will enable the Curaçao-based sports betting operator to benefit from enhanced visibility in Brazil, which is one of the largest markets for the National Football League (NFL) outside the US.

This will be spread across static, physical and digital properties, including publicity boards in all six of the BFA’s conference finals and the Brasil Bowl, with the brand featured across two end zones on the 20-yard line in televised and playoff games.

Furthermore, the Rivalo brand will appear at the top right in video broadcasts in BFA matches and on the league’s official channels, as well as across the competition’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.

Lastly, marketing activations as a result of the partnership will include the creation of digital tournaments, with Rivalo holding the naming rights to these events as well as dissemination on the competition’s social networks.

“We decided to support the American Football community in Brazil through BFA,” remarked Guilherme Bucchi, Acquisition Manager Brazil at Rivalo. “They do an admirable job in the development of the sport and we will support the sport to grow even more.”

Rivalo’s agreement with the BFA League fits in with its wider market strategy in South America and specifically Brazil, where it is seeking to expand on and leverage opportunities in the country.

The next season of the league will take place between June and November, with 100 games hosted across 18 Brazilian states. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN, among other television networks, in collaboration with Rivalo.

Finally, the partnership will also see presenters offer tips on Rivalo BFA League betting markets via the competition’s YouTube channel, whilst also discussing other sports available on the operator’s platform such as soccer, Formula One, tennis and basketball.

Eduardo Ferreira, BFA Commercial Director, added: “Having Rivalo as an official partner of the BFA is something really unprecedented in Brazil. Being alongside a company that is a world reference in betting, puts us on a much higher level, giving credibility to our League.

“Rivalo will provide growth, professionalism and innovation to Brazilian football, becoming a pioneer in this modality. The trust that Rivalo places in BFA will certainly be a link of relevance, gratitude and reciprocity.”
