Smarkets’ sportsbook app SBK has committed to a long-term sponsorship of multiple title-winning jockey Richard Kingscote until October 2022.
The agreement will see reigning all-weather champion Kingscote wear SBK branded riding gear over the next 16 months, as well as produce exclusive content for the operator.

“I feel like I’m riding really well at the moment so hopefully I can continue picking up the winners, especially at Royal Ascot this week.

Kingscote first wore his SBK riding gear during his win at Sandown on Friday 11 June, riding La Pulga, before winning for a second time on Roman Dragon at Chester the following day.
Throughout his career, Kingscote has won a total of 73 races and will be appearing at the Royal Ascot event this week, riding four different runners during today’s opening fixtures, including Regal Reality in the Group One Queen Anne Stakes, the first meeting of the week.
Launched in 2019, SBK’s odds are taken from the Smarkets exchange, in which customers can take advantage of peer-to-peer betting and trading where odds move based on where users place their wagers, meaning there is ‘no built-in house edge’.
Smarkets was able to secure an Oddschecker listing for SBK in December 2020, significantly boosting the app’s audience reach and appeal, whilst also incorporating the direct in-app Price+ comparison feature, allowing Smarkets to guarantee its customers the best market pricing at the point of wager.
Regarding its horse racing offerings, Smarkets’ SBK product recorded positive trading at both the Cheltenham Festival and Aintree Festival this year, reporting trading of £210 million and £92.8 million at each respective event.
