SIS (Sports Information Services) has moved to strengthen its position in the African betting market, partnering with sportsbook operator Marshalls World of Sport to launch its South African 24/7 Live Betting Channel.
Going live across Marshalls’ retail and online verticals, the new product has been tailored specifically for the South African market and features live streams, pictures, data, commentary, on screen-graphics with betting prompts and information and markets and prices, including the SIS Trading Services live racing solution.
The South African channel also consists of premium greyhound racing, with up to 38,000 events – depending on province – as well as horse racing from around the globe, to ensure profitable short-form content is available throughout the day.
The racing offering on the channel will include ‘premium greyhound racing’ content of up to 38,000 events, dependent on province, in addition to international horse racing with the aim of providing Marshalls with daily ‘profitable short-form content’.
Joe Andrews, Digital Sales Manager at SIS, remarked: “It’s an exciting step for us to be partnering with Marshalls to deliver our new South African 24/7 Live Betting Channel, which has been tailored for the South African market and now features our revamped 49’s offering.
“Numbers betting is hugely popular in South Africa, where there is a strong affinity to the 49’s brand, and Marshalls’ customers will enjoy the refreshed 49’s draws and new products that are now on offer. Alongside horse and greyhound racing, Marshalls has a comprehensive live betting channel that will help drive customer engagement across all hours of the day.”
Additionally, 24/6 Live betting channel will include SIS’ numbers betting products, such as the twice-daily 49s draws and a new regular 39s draw, introduced with the intention of providing ‘even more betting opportunities’ for numbers customers.
Jeremy Marshall, Owner of Marshalls World of Sport, added: “We have been hugely impressed with SIS’s new 24/7 Live Betting Channel since launching it to our customers and it will no doubt help us to increase engagement and provide incremental revenues.
“Having access to a bespoke channel specifically tailored for the South African market is of huge value to us as a company, with this partnership proving that SIS understands local market needs and requirements perfectly, wherever you are in the world.”
The agreement marks another step in SIS’ plans for international expansion, following on from the multi-channel 24/7 live betting services supplier’s deal with Australian racing science data firm RACELAB GLOBAL, whilst the company appointed Dr Laila Mintas and Giovanna D’Esposito earlier this month to coordinate its global growth.
