Stats Perform has extended its contract with Colombian football governing body DIMAYOR, continuing to collect and manage Opta data from the top two tiers of the country’s league system.

As the official data provider of DIMAYOR, Stats Perform will support the governing body and its partners to create ‘unique experiences’ for audiences, leveraging sponsors, media and brands.

The revamped three-year agreement covers the top-flight Primera Division as well as the Second Division and the Domestic Cup knockout tournament.

“We’re delighted to announce that we will be extending and expanding our partnership with DIMAYOR as Columbia’s official data partner,” said Alex Rice, Chief Rights Officer at Stats Perform.

“We look forward to working closely with the leagues to deliver the best quality data, giving the competition control of their data rights and access to Stats Perform’s expertise and sales network.”

In addition, the updated partnership will see Stats Perform utilise its range of Opta data feeds to deliver detailed data, with the firm’s customisable widgets providing data-powered solutions for use across digital and social platforms before, during and after fixtures, whilst identifying the top-performing players for Team of the Week accolades.

Extensive preview and post-match packs will be made for the clubs and media ahead of all Primera División matches using Opta data.

Fernando Jaramillo, President of DIMAYOR Colombia, remarked: “We can say we have the biggest data company to know the performance of all our competitions and those who are part of them.

“DIMAYOR has been working with Stats Perform’s Opta data for the last four years and thanks to the excellent results, quality of services and their vast coverage of our competitions we have been able to move forward with the clubs’ performances, create programmes such as DIMAYOR INNOVA and better understand and take advantage of the data just as other big leagues do. It is a pleasure to have this global agreement with Stats Perform.”

The renewal marks Stats Perofrm’s second contract extension with a major sports governing body this month, following an updated agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) last week.
