Plans are to be submitted to Wakefield Council which if accepted, will see the redevelopment of the site of the current Buzz Bingo Castleford.
According to local reports, Lidl GB has announced plans for a new store and drive-thru unit. The new store would have a 13,500 sq ft sales area, an in-store bakery, customer toilets and 130 car parking spaces including disabled, parent & child spaces as well as rapid electric vehicle charging points.
Is Buzz Bingo Castleford going to close? well, the former gala bingo is not looking to permanently close. It is understood that it is Buzz Bingo‘s intention to relocate to new premises, staying within the Castleford area and continue serving the Castleford community.
Lidl intends to submit a planning application to Wakefield Council in the coming weeks and has launched an online consultation to allow the public to offer their views on its proposals.
