By | July 16, 2026

After an exhilirarting first semi final, last weekend saw the conclusion of the second semi-final of the Dabbers Bingo Comedy Caller Content 2026, meaning the four finalists have been chosen to compete to be crowned Comedy Caller of the Year on Friday 17rh July and become the latest resident bingo caller at Dabbers Social Bingo in London.

For the first time since the competition launched six years ago, every finalist will perform in character, marking a notable shift for a contest that has become a regular showcase for emerging comedy talent.

The competition has grown into one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures on the UK bingo calendar, challenging performers to combine stand-up, improvisation and audience interaction with the unique demands of calling a live bingo game.

Four character comedians reach the final

This year’s finalists are now confrmed as:

Nerine Skinner as Sadie The Motivator

Skinner is an actress, writer and comedian who first found success as one half of comedy duo Franks and Skinner before reaching the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent with improv group The Dots. She later gained widespread online attention through her parody videos of former Prime Minister Liz Truss and sold out her debut Edinburgh Fringe show in 2024.

Paul Aitchison as Klaus Fantastiche

Performing as eccentric magician Klaus Fantastiche, Aitchison combines character comedy with magic and mind reading. His previous credits include performances on Virgin Voyages and P&O Cruises, a sell-out Pleasance Edinburgh show, Radio 4 writing credits and success with sketch duo Mixed Doubles.

Rachel Baker as Gwen

Baker has established herself as both a stand-up and character comedian, earning recognition as a Funny Women finalist, Birmingham Breaking Talent nominee and Big Value Act 2026. Her character Gwen won the Luke Rollason Sketch and Character Award and reached the final of Sketch Off.

Tara Boland as Dusty Creases

Boland’s alter ego, Dusty Creases, is a self-described “movement muse” whose performance blends dance, physical comedy and audience interaction.

Unlike traditional stand-up competitions, contestants are judged on their ability to entertain while keeping a live bingo session running smoothly, testing improvisation, audience engagement and quick thinking alongside comedic performance.

Final takes place in London

The grand final will take place at Dabbers Social Bingo in Houndsditch on Friday 17 July, with doors opening at 6.30pm ahead of an 8pm start.

The winner will join Dabbers’ roster of resident bingo callers, with the competition continuing its aim of introducing new comedy talent to live entertainment audiences.
