Drag Bingo UK Adds New Worthing and Weston Shows

By | August 2, 2026

Award-winning entertainment concept Drag Bingo UK has announced two major autumn events, bringing its interactive musical bingo experience to audiences in Somerset and West Sussex.

The touring production will visit Weston-super-Mare’s Grand Pier on Saturday, 19 September, after returning to Worthing’s Assembly Hall on Thursday, 13 August with a special 1980s-themed edition following a successful earlier appearance at the venue.

Created by award-winning drag performer Miss Demeanour, Drag Bingo UK has developed a growing following by combining drag performances, live vocals, audience participation and music with a bingo-inspired format.

For anyone asking what is drag bingo? It’s simple. Unlike licensed bingo clubs, the shows are designed purely as live entertainment rather than gambling events. Players use music-themed bingo cards instead of numbered tickets, with songs replacing traditional bingo calls throughout the evening. There are no cash prizes, with winners instead receiving novelty gifts.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Star Headlines Weston Show

The Weston-super-Mare event at the Grand Pier will feature a line-up led by Miss Demeanour alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race UK finalist Tomara Thomas and Italian drag performer Julia Dayama.

Guests can expect live performances, lip-sync battles, audience games and sing-along anthems as the venue is transformed into an interactive party atmosphere.

Miss Demeanour said:

“We always say it’s less about the bingo and more about the atmosphere. We just want people to come in, forget real life for a few hours and leave feeling fabulous.

“We’ve had hen parties, an 80th birthday, drag queens, office groups, couples on date nights, mums and daughters, straight lads who got dragged along and ended up living their best lives by the end of the night.

“At the heart of it all, our job is to make you feel fabulous, welcomed and part of the party.”

Tickets for the Weston-super-Mare event start from £26, with premium packages available that include meet-and-greet opportunities, food and drinks.

Worthing Returns to the 1980s

Following a sold-out event earlier this year, Drag Bingo UK is also returning to Worthing with an 80s-themed spectacular.

The special edition promises a soundtrack packed with classic hits from the decade, alongside drag performances, live vocals, audience games and the return of the event’s popular Best Dressed competition.

Miss Demeanour said the Worthing audience made an immediate impression during the company’s first visit.

“Worthing absolutely blew us away when we visited in March. The audience completely embraced the chaos so coming back was a no-brainer.”

She added:

“Unlike traditional bingo events, audiences won’t win cash prizes as the event isn’t a gambling activity but they could walk away with anything from a rhinestoned toilet seat featuring Miss D’s face to gigantic bags of tea bags, family-sized sacks of pasta or any other ridiculous prize.”

Encouraging attendees to embrace the retro dress code, she said:

“Tease the hair, grab the shoulder pads and prepare to scream Bingo like it’s 1985 and everybody’s watching. If ever there was a time to go completely over the top, this is it.”

Entertainment Bingo Continues to Grow

While Drag Bingo UK is not a gambling product, its popularity reflects the continued diversification of bingo-themed entertainment across the UK. Musical bingo, comedy bingo, drag bingo and themed interactive shows have become increasingly common at theatres, social clubs and hospitality venues, offering a different experience from traditional licensed bingo halls.

The format has proved particularly popular with hen parties, birthday celebrations and group nights out, broadening the appeal of bingo-inspired events beyond regular bingo audiences.

For the UK bingo industry, these events also demonstrate the enduring cultural recognition of bingo as a social activity, even when adapted into non-gambling entertainment experiences.
