MrQ Announces Watford F.C. Sponsorship

MrQ, the UK Bingo and Casino operator, has been announced as the new shirt sponsor for Watford F.C.

The multi-year contract will see the MrQ logo on the club’s shirts. replacing Stake.com, which sponsored Watford for the last two years.

Watford are currently playing in the second tier of English football, having been relegated from the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.

The multi-year agreement represents a record-breaking deal for an EFL club and is a match-up of two local Hertfordshire businesses. St Albans’ based MrQ is just a 10-minute drive to Watford’s home ground.

The agreement comes just a few months after Premier League clubs agreed to ban gambling companies from sponsoring the front of shirts. This is due to come into effect following the end of the 2025/26 season.

Savvas Fellas, MrQ.com founder, said of the landmark deal:

“It’s a great new chapter for the club and for us,”

“We’re excited for next season. Our business was built in St. Albans and the people who have shaped it are Hertfordshire born and bred and so we’re excited about expanding on that local story.”

Savvas added: “We’re looking to raise our profile but this deal represents a lot more than just a sponsorship; it’s a partnership, and we’re keen to play our part in the local community.”

Watford FC’s Commercial Director Paul O’Brien said of the partnership:

“The MrQ agreement is a very strong financial deal for the club and it also has longevity.

“MrQ has impressive roots in the local area and shares great synergy with our club values. As a Hertfordshire-based business, they are looking to impact really positively in the community.”
