Blackjack Games At Three Las Vegas Casinos With New Music Residencies

By | December 21, 2021

The Vegas Strip is not a haven for blackjack players. This part of Las Vegas draws so many visitors because of everything else it offers guests.

Today the Vegas Strip is famous for its great fine dining, relaxing spas, shopping, and entertainment. Between touring concerts, sports and residencies there’s just about something to do away from the casino every night on the Vegas Strip.

Three casinos on the Vegas Strip recently announced pretty big residencies on the Vegas Strip. Adele will join Usher and Rod Stewart performing residencies at Caesars Palace.

John Legend just signed on to perform a residency at Planet Hollywood. Shania Twain and the Scorpions will have a series of shows next at Planet Hollywood next year.

Michael Buble will join a star-studded lineup at The Theater inside Resorts World Las Vegas. He’s joining Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan who all have residencies inside the newest casino in Las Vegas.

These shows feature entertainers that could probably play much larger venues for touring concerts. Las Vegas is a great place to see an “intimate” show with some of the most popular artists in the world.

The residency shows only take up a couple of hours when visiting a casino. There’s always time to hit the tables before and after the shows.

Here’s a look at some of the blackjack games available inside the Las Vegas casinos that recently announced big 2022 residencies.

Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace has a wide variety of blackjack games with rules that seem to change every few months. According to the recent blackjack survey from Vegas Advantage, there are fewer games with different rules on the gaming floor.

In this case, fewer games is a good thing as the worst blackjack rules in a Vegas Strip casino appear to be gone. Blackjack players may now double on any first two cards at all tables. Previously, there were some tables that only allowed players to double on 10 and 11.

Players will likely have to wager at least $25 per hand to play a blackjack game that pays 3:2 when being dealt a natural blackjack.

Planet Hollywood

The casino floor at Planet Hollywood has a surprising number of blackjack games. The circular table games area seems to go on forever. Unfortunately, most blackjack games at Planet Hollywood pay 6:5 when a player is dealt a natural blackjack.

It appears as though $50 will be the minimum wager for a game that pays 3:2 when a player is dealt a natural blackjack.

Planet Hollywood has a slew of low-limit blackjack games available in the Stadium Gaming area. This Stadium Gaming installation occupies the space that was once home to the Planet Hollywood Poker Room.

Resorts World

There’s always hope that a new casino would bring good rules for gamblers. That’s not the case at Resorts World and it’s not entirely a surprise.

We took an educated guess that Resorts World would have poor blackjack conditions when previewing the property. The real-life results are as expected, unfortunately.

According to Vegas Advantage, blackjack players will have to wager $100 in order to find a game that pays 3:2.

In addition to the big-name mainstream residencies, Resorts World also recently signed DeadMau5 to perform a residency at its nightclub, Zouk.
